IFAPA's Current Goals

Ensure total elimination of any retaliation against foster/adoptive parents who speak out for their foster/adoptive children or themselves.

Encourage foster parent agencies to adhere to the "Foster Parent Law."

Strive to keep an open and honest dialog between IFAPA groups/members and the IFAPA Board of Directors, so we are able to help every foster and adoptive family in Illinois.

Establish consistency throughout the foster/adoptive care system.

Provide liability insurance for foster/adoptive parents, or immunity from frivolous lawsuits.

Exact a reimbursement rate commensurate with the true expenses of foster/adoptive care, including a built-in annual cost of living adjustment.
